Growth Is More Than Numbers!

Nestled in Gordonville, PA, just a hefty stone’s throw south of Kitchen Kettle Village, you will find the home office, retail store and shop of Lapp Gas Appliance - a gem of a company that serves the greater Lancaster County area and even a little beyond if necessary. I first met Jonas, the company President, about a year ago. We sat down to talk about how Liberty Employment Solutions and Lapp Gas Appliance could partner together to find him the right people to slowly expand their Gas Appliance Repair and Service Department. 

Did you even know that you could run a refrigerator on gas without any electricity? I HAD NO IDEA. Seriously, no clue.

A couple of things happened that day. First, I walked away highly impressed with Jonas’ thought process towards the Lapp Gas Appliance team. “My team is number one. Customers are great and we appreciate them, but ultimately the team is number one. If I take care of the team, they will take care of the customers.” How refreshing. When we live in a world of cutthroat business where it’s all about me, me, me, and the bottom line, Lapp Gas Appliance has higher priorities. 

The second thing I noticed was Jonas’ excitement to see the company grow. I mean, as excited as an Amishman gets. In all honesty though, you could see his eyes light up when we were talking about what potential there is for the company, who already has a strong presence in the community, to grow beyond that. That excitement will breed excitement within the team.

FLASH FORWARD:  Almost one year later and the Electric Appliance Department of the business has been launched and is growing, and we are excited to be helping Lapp Gas Appliance continue to build their team as well as consult on some other business and leadership projects throughout the company.  Lapp Gas Appliance is setting themselves up for intentional growth not only in revenue but more importantly by growing their team through addition and training.
